Cook at Kurnell – Terms & Conditions
Additional Service Charge
For all group bookings of 20 guests or more, a 10% service charge will be applied to the total event cost.
This charge covers additional staffing and operational expenses for larger events.
It will be calculated on the total event cost, including venue hire, catering, beverages, and any additional services requested.
Final Numbers & Menu Selection
Final confirmation of guest numbers, along with food and beverage selections, is required at least 21 days prior to the event.
Catering will be based on the confirmed number of guests, and charges will apply regardless of last-minute cancellations.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation or date changes will result in the loss of the full deposit.
Cancellations made 60 days or less before the event will forfeit 50% of the minimum spend.
Cancellations within 14 days of the event will result in the loss of all monies paid as per the invoice.
All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
In the event of bad weather, additional fees may apply for marquee setup.
Additional Meals
Meals for entertainers, photographers, and videographers can be provided at $35 per person.
Guests under 18 years: food and drink packages available at $60 per person.
Children requiring specific meals and drinks: $25 per person.
Prices
All prices include GST and are subject to change due to food and beverage cost increases, with a guaranteed maximum increase of 7% on the chosen package.
Minimum Spend
Minimum spend varies by date, time, and guest numbers.
If the minimum spend is not met, the outstanding balance will be charged to the credit card on file.
By providing credit card details, you authorise Cook at Kurnell to charge for any shortfall.
Payment Schedule:
20% deposit to secure the booking
50% due two weeks prior
Remaining balance due one week prior
(All payments are non-refundable once due.)
Sponsored drinks do not count towards the minimum spend.
Décor & Styling
All major furniture and fittings must remain as styled by Cook at Kurnell.
External vendors may provide additional styling upon request and approval.
Public Liability Insurance
External suppliers must hold their own Public Liability Insurance. Cook at Kurnell’s insurance does not cover harm or damage caused by external suppliers.
Bump In & Out
Setup access: 1.5 hours prior to your event unless otherwise agreed.
Pack-down must be completed immediately after the event (not the following day).
Cook at Kurnell takes no responsibility for loss or damage to items left behind.
Cleaning Fee
A cleaning fee may be charged for premises left in an unacceptable state.
Equipment Hire
Professional hire companies may supply equipment.
Marquee hire is external and charged separately.
External Contractors
Must be approved by management at least 14 days prior to the event.
Entertainment & Music
Music equipment must be supplied by hired bands/DJs.
Sound levels must comply with venue regulations to avoid disturbances.
Decorations
All decorations must be approved by management and must not be affixed to walls or doors.
Tastings
Food and beverage tastings are not offered, however our café menu reflects the style of the venue.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited inside Cook at Kurnell. Guests may use designated outdoor smoking areas.
Alcohol & Decorum
Cook at Kurnell is fully licensed; BYO alcohol is not permitted.
Responsible service of alcohol applies.
Seasonal changes may affect beverage selections.
Guests must conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
Food Allergies
Please advise of any guest allergies when confirming numbers. While all reasonable efforts are made, we cannot guarantee that food will be free from allergens.
Surprises
We are not responsible for surprises organised by hosts but will accommodate where possible.
Fireworks
Strictly prohibited. Breach may result in a fee.
Outdoor Venue Policy & Food Safety
As an outdoor venue, we are exposed to natural elements. In hot weather, extensive grazing platters are not possible for health reasons.
Flies and insects may be present; while we take measures to manage this, it is beyond our control. If this is a concern, another venue may be more suitable.
Wet Weather Plan
One marquee is available for guest cover during bad weather. Additional cover can be arranged at an extra cost.
Guests will be promptly notified of any event schedule or layout changes due to weather.
In extreme conditions, events can be rescheduled or credited for future use.
Late Departure of Guests
Events must conclude at the agreed time.
A surcharge of $200 + $15 per person per half hour will apply for guests remaining after this time.

All bookings are subject to availability.
Advertising
All external advertising for events at our venue must be approved in advance. Unapproved advertising may be required to be removed.
